What is a diorama?

It is the three-dimensional representation of a scene. In this case, we will use this format to creatively represent an illustrated scene made up of depth planes.

For this activity, we will follow these steps:

Brief introduction to the artist’s work. We will see how she applies her imagination to this technique, researching and testing new possibilities, for example, adding light, sound and even motion sensors to her pieces (approx. 30 min.).

Objectives:

Learn the fundamentals of this technique in order to explore it further in your own projects.
Optimise the production of ideas when faced with a previously unknown concept.
Apply image composition techniques.
Visualise the image by depth planes.
Learn to refine the image until you obtain the minimum details necessary to communicate the concept.
Practise manual work and techniques.
Organise the steps of the work.
Learn about the possibilities of the materials used in this visual language.
Put the resources of our imagination into practice and apply them to an image.
